§ 1.Definitions and document version
Tournament Rules version 2.0.0 apply to Rift Legacy Cup events: Launch Night Cup, First Blood.
Defined terms include Organizer, Captain, Team, Player, Substitute, Check-in, Bracket, Protest, Forfeit, Disqualification, and Backup Date.
§ 2.Organizer details
- Organizer: Rift Legacy Cup (independent community competition).

- Administrative communication: captain dashboard and tournament Discord.
§ 3.Game, mode, platform, and region
- Game: League of Legends Classic.
- Mode: official League of Legends Classic, custom games on classic Summoner’s Rift.
- Platform: PC.
- Bracket regions: EUNE and EUW — independent of website language.
- Website language does not determine the selected region. Teams may register for EUNE or EUW.
§ 4.Accounts, Riot ID, and team roster
- Every player must have an active game account and a valid Riot ID name.
- Starting lineup: exactly 5 players.
- Substitute: up to 1 player.
- Roster changes after registration closes require admin approval.
- The same Riot ID cannot be used in two teams in the same tournament.
- A team may not participate in both EUNE and EUW brackets of the same edition with the same roster unless explicitly approved by the organizer.
§ 5.Registration, cap, and waitlist
Each tournament has a 16-team limit. Once filled, additional registrations move to the waitlist.
In the free event, verified teams occupy slots; in the paid event, paid teams secure slots.
§ 6.Verification, check-in, draw, and seeding
Teams pass data verification before entering the bracket.
Check-in is mandatory during each tournament window.
Bracket and seeds are published after registration, verification, and check-in.
§ 7.Entry fees, payments, and refunds
Rift Legacy Cup: Launch Night Cup: entry fee 0 EUR; no mandatory payment.
Rift Legacy Cup: First Blood: 30 EUR per full team (EUNE and EUW).
- 100% refund if the organizer cancels the event.
- 100% refund for game outages preventing tournament play.
- 100% refund if minimum team count is not reached.
- Withdrawal before registration deadline: refund according to organizer policy.
- Withdrawal after registration closes: no guaranteed refund.
- Disqualification: no refund.
- No-show during check-in: no guaranteed refund.
§ 8.Bracket and round format
- Rift Legacy Cup: Launch Night Cup: single elimination, BO1 final.
- Rift Legacy Cup: First Blood: single elimination, BO3 final.
§ 9.Lobby, side selection, draft, and settings
- Lobbies are created under tournament admin instructions.
- Side selection and draft follow seeding rules published before each round.
- Only tournament-approved game settings are allowed.
§ 10.Prohibited behavior, exploits, third-party software
- Exploits, cheats, third-party advantage software, and account sharing are forbidden.
- Toxic behavior, deliberate disruption, and match manipulation are forbidden.
§ 11.Pauses, disconnects, remake, and technical issues
Technical pauses are allowed after admin notification.
Remake/rehost is allowed only by admin decision.
In Riot server incidents, tournament rounds may be delayed, postponed, or moved to a backup date.
§ 12.Late arrivals, forfeits, result reporting, and protests
Late arrival or missing check-in may result in a forfeit.
Captains submit results with evidence; opponents can confirm or dispute.
Bracket updates only after admin-approved results.
§ 13.Streaming and broadcast delay
- Streaming your own matches is allowed when required delay settings are respected.
- Organizer may restrict selected match broadcasts for operational reasons.

- Forfeit

- Ban from future editions
§ 15.Prizes, payouts, and taxes
In the paid tournament, 75% of paid entries forms the prize pool and 25% covers organization costs.
Prize split: 55% / 30% / 15% (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).
Payouts are processed after result confirmation; participants remain responsible for their taxes.
§ 16.Data protection and result publication
Only safe tournament data is published: team name, nicknames, status, results, and seed.
Contact details, payment identifiers, and protest content are never published publicly.
§ 17.Rule changes, backup date, and cancellation
Organizer may update rules for valid operational or legal reasons.
A backup date may be announced in release-day incident scenarios.
If the event is cancelled, the published refund policy applies.
